BONE AUGMENTATION COURSE
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to improve participants’ understanding and clinical skills on augmentation in and out of the bony envelope. Today, resorbable and non-resorbable membranes w/o bone substitutes are being more integrated in implant dentistry for better aesthetics, function and longevity. The main axis of this course is build on predictability in clinical practice and avoiding complications. The method of teaching is based on one to one interaction between the participant and the tutor allowing the best practice of learning on an animal model.

- Healing of extraction sites
- Soft and hard tissue deficiencies related to implant therapy
- Basics of wound healing
- Resorbable and non-resorbable membranes
- Bone substitutes
- Treatment of horizontal ridge defects
- Treatment of vertical ridge defects
- Treatment of combined ridge defects
- Complications

All other consumables are provided by the organisation but bringing your own loupe is highly recommended.
TERMS
The course is for 12 participants. The only prerequisite is being attended to the Soft Tissue Management Course I&II, and enough English skills to communicate. The course language is English.
